#Q1011 - Enhancement Policy, Fixes and Enhancements

Enhancement Policy

If a customer requests an enhancement or change to the program and it is a change that is relatively simple, does not require extensive testing, and makes sense in the context of the whole application, then we will make the enhancement as soon as we can. More complicated enhancements take longer to program, test and release. Each time we upload a new version update to the website, it will be numbered. The enhancements and/or fixes for that particular update will be listed in the Knowledge Base Article entitled "Enhancement Policy, Fixes and Enhancements." The enhancements are cummulative, so any particular update will include all the previous enhancements.

New releases are announced on the home page of the website. You can check in on the website every now and then and see if the current enhancements are something that you would like to use or have fixes for bugs that annoy you. In that case, you can download the current update.

If you have any questions or problems please call technical support at 1-800-897-3758. Do not delete or uninstall WorkingArtist as the problem can most probably be resolved.

Fixes and Enhancements

WorkingArtist 3.08.02a
1. During installation, an error occasionally occurred when installing WorkingArtist onto a computer where Microsoft Office included Access. WorkingArtist would display an error message: "The expression you entered has a function name that working Artist 3.0 can't find". This is fixed.
2. In Artwork, the Medium table did not properly update. This is fixed.
3. In Patrons, the Select Patron Type field did not properly update. This is fixed.
4. In Patrons, the reports "Patron Activity Status All", "Patron Activity Status" and "Patron Purchases by Date" did not have a toolbar. This is fixed.
5. In Edit Patrons, the Phone Number field did not properly update. This is fixed.
6. In Consignments, an error occurred when viewing WorkingArtist at a high screen resolution. This is fixed.
7. In Maintenance, the size field did not properly populate in the Creating Missing Editions function. This is fixed.
8. In New Reminders, the Category field did not properly populate. This is fixed.
9. In Notebook, the Source field did not properly populate. This is fixed.
10. In Media, the Publication Name field did not properly update. This is fixed.
11. In Mail List, the Mail List Type field did not update properly. This is fixed.
12. In Order Supplies, the report "Order List" did not display correctly. This is fixed.
13. In Invoices, the reports "Activity Status for Work Sent - Selected Invoice" and "Activity Status for Work Sent - All Invoices" did not display correctly. This is fixed.

WorkingArtist 3.07.08a
1. In Show Entries, prices that were edited did not correctly display in the form or in reports. This is fixed.
2. In Patrons, the contact name field did not correctly populate if the user was creating multiple new contacts. This is fixed.

WorkingArtist 3.07.07a
1. Starting with this version, WorkingArtist is enabled to run on the Vista operating system. For more information, please read the Knowledge Base article: Running WorkingArtist on the Vista operating system.
2. In Patrons, the Collection screen could take a long time to display. This is fixed.

WorkingArtist 3.07.02a
1. We have teamed with FineArtStudioOnline to create a function in WorkingArtist to upload artwork data along with the corresponding JPG image file from WorkingArtist to your FASO website. For more information, please read the Knowledge Base article: Uploading Artwork Data and JPG Images to FineArtStudioOnline (FASO).
2. In Consignments, when tracking a consignment, newly created locations were not displaying correctly. This is fixed.
3. In Show Entries, two new reports, Show Time Line by Entry Date and Show Time Line Entries by Entry Date, have been added. These reports list shows in the order that entries are due.
4. We have continued to edit for greater comprehension and usability.

WorkingArtist 3.06.08a
1. In View Artwork Costs, an error occurred if applying a supply item to an edition. This is fixed.
2. In View Artwork, the asterisk on the Notes tab was not correctly displaying when a new note was created. This is fixed.
3. In Patrons, an error occurred if switching from Payment Plan in View Patrons to either 4. Patron List or Patron Datasheet. This is fixed.
5. In Patron Activity, letters created as a new activity did not correctly display patron title. This is fixed.
6. In Patron Activity, an erroneous message displayed if a letter was deleted. This is fixed.
7. In Invoices, Artwork costs were not correctly handled when the invoice was paid in full. This is fixed.
8. In Invoices Reports, the report “Invoice List - Selected Dates” printed incorrectly. The report was too wide and additional blank pages were printed. This is fixed.
9. In Mail List New Letter, the contact’s last name was combining with the company name. This is fixed.
10. In Show Entries Show Labels/Lists, artwork was not correctly displayed in “Show Labels 2 x 4”, “Show Labels A4” and “Show Labels 2 x 3 ½.” This is fixed.
11. In Show Entries Reports, the “Show Gallery Memo – Shipped” report was erroneously displaying “Accepted” work not “Shipped” work. This is fixed.
12. In Price List New Standard Price List, prices for “Framed” columns were incorrectly calculated. This is fixed.
13. In Price List New Custom Price List, an error occurred if the patron was changed after entering the Price List name. This is fixed.
14. In Labels Custom Slide Labels, an error occurred if a user tried to display a newly created template. This is fixed.
15. In Labels Custom Slide Labels, images were not correctly displayed in the report “35mm Slide Labels (20) New Transfix.” This is fixed.
16. In Labels Custom Slide Labels, an error occurred if text was deleted from a label line in the Edit Template screen. This is fixed.
17. In Labels Custom Slide Labels, an error occurred if text entered into Line 1 or Line 4 of the Edit Template screen was viewed and saved in the Text Box. This is fixed.
18. In Bio, headings were not properly displayed or printed. This is fixed.
19. In Notebook, the reports “Chapter/Subject/Topic” and “Topic/Chapter” displayed incorrect data. This is fixed.
20. If using the "Y" alphabet filter, an error occured when selecting multiple edition artwork. This was kindly reported by a user and has been fixed.
21. The PDF version of the User Guide has been updated. The new version can be downloaded for free from the Downloads section of the WorkingArtist website.
22. We have continued to edit for greater comprehension and usability.

WorkingArtist 3.06.03a
1. In Artwork Slidesheet reports, there was an error that caused artworks to be only displayed by title. This has been fixed.
2. In Artwork Info, an error was discovered in the commission field. This has been fixed.

WorkingArtist 3.06.02a
1. Two new reports, Mail Merge by Name and Mail merge by Zip, have been added to Mail List Reports. These reports create text files that can be used as source for a mail merge document in Microsoft Word. This means that you can create letters in Microsoft Word and merge the address information from WorkingArtist. For more information, please read the Knowledge Base article: Create a Patron Text File in Mail List to Use with Microsoft Word Mail Merge Document.
2. The title of a patron contact is now displayed in letters.
3. Transfix has changed their 35mm label format. To handle this new format, a new report, “35 mm Slide Labels (20) New Transfix” report has been added for both Standard Slide Labels and Custom Slide Labels.
4. In Artwork Reports, there was a resizing error in the Artwork HTML report. This has been fixed.
5. In Artwork Reports, the field to display the Artist name in Certificate of Authority (Limited Edition) has been increased.
6. In Artwork Datasheet, a sort function has been added to column headers. By double-clicking on the column header, the column will sort from lowest to highest, and then highest to lowest.
7. The Current Screen Resolution in Artist Info/Options/Display was not displaying the computer’s correct screen resolution. This has been fixed.
8. In Supplies Reports, “Supplies on Hand as of” and “Supplies on Hand” were not correctly handling new supplies. This has been fixed.
9. In Letterhead Information, “preview” was not correctly displaying letters. This has been fixed.
10. In Retail Price Grid, an error occurred if the “Price Per” or “Base Price” were deleted. This has been fixed.
11. We have continued editing both forms and screens in the WorkingArtist application for improved display.

WorkingArtist 3.05.11a
1. Adding new prices created an “invalid use of null error message” for a new price grid. This has been fixed. You can correct the problem in the previous version by selecting a value for the RoundOffNum in Edit Price Grid, when the RoundOffNum is blank.
2. Previously in New Artwork, changing the medium deleted the size value. This has been fixed so that if the selected medium is the same dimension as the old medium, the size will not be deleted.
3. Previously in New Artwork if a duplicate work number was entered, the number was automatically deleted. This has been changed so that the number is not deleted and a warning message is displayed. However, the record cannot be saved until a unique work number has been entered.
4. In Artwork, an error message was generated if the user clicked on “Change Folder for all Images” while in an artwork record without an image selected. This has been fixed.
5. When opening Artwork, the cursor is now automatically located in the “Select Title” field.
6. In Mail List, a new report: Patron Address Labels by Zip has been added. In this report the patron labels are arranged in zip or postal code order.
7. In Show Entries, two new reports have been added: Show Gallery Memo Entries and Show Gallery Memo Entries No Price.
8. In Slide Show the collector’s name is now being display as “FirstName LastName” rather than “LastName, FirstName”.
9. In Supplies an error occurred when viewing the “Supplies on Hand As Of” report for a new item with a quantity of zero.
10. In Supplies an error occurred when viewing the “Supplies on Hand”, or “Supplies on Hand As Of” report for a new item with a quantity of zero after previously adding another new item.

WorkingArtist 3.05.10a Fixes and Enhancements
1. A price-rounding feature has been added to Price Grid. This feature allows the user to round the prices of artworks whose prices are generated by a price grid. Prices can be rounded to the nearest dollar, five dollars, ten dollars, twenty-five dollars, fifty dollars, one hundred dollars, or five hundred dollars.
2. The date can now be included or excluded from the header of Artwork Slide reports. To do this, the user can check or uncheck the default box located in Artist Info/ Options – Slide Show.
3. In some Artwork reports, size and measure were not consistently displayed. This has been resolved.
4. In some Artwork reports, the year was not correctly displayed. This has been resolved.
5. In some Artwork reports, substrate and Medium on Substrate were not consistently displayed. This has been resolved.
6. In View Artwork, the Location and Collection sub forms were not correctly displaying artworks. This is has been resolved.
7. In Artwork New Proof and Edition, default location and default category were not automatically entered. This has been fixed.
8. In Patrons, an error in advanced filters prevented patrons being correctly filtered.
9. In Patron List, a superfluous error message sometimes occurred when using the letter filters. This has been fixed.
10. In Patron Activities, there was a discrepancy between data displayed in Edit Activity and the report generated by “Print Work List”. This has been fixed.
11. In Show Reports and Show (Slide Label and Reports), discrepancies were occurring in reports. These have been resolved.
12. In Show Entries, there was an error where “other images: transparency, email bmp and in progress” were all recorded as photo. This has been fixed.
13. In Comma Delimited Text Files, an error was occurring when the retail price was included. This has been resolved.
14. In Mail List, an error caused images to be not properly allocated. This has been resolved.
15. In Mail List, an error prevented Patrons from being correctly filtered. This has been resolved.
16. In Mail List letters, an error caused letters with pre-printed letterheads to be over-written by the letter text. This has been resolved.
17. In Registry All Images, editions were not listed in correct numerical order. This has been fixed.
18. In Edit Media, an error occurred when changing sequence number. This has been fixed.
19. We have done some general editing throughout the application. We have corrected spelling errors, duplicated words and inaccurate or imprecise messages. Some forms, such as Registry, have been edited to improve spacing and appearance.

WorkingArtist 3.05.08a Fixes and Enhancements
1. The “Update Prices from Grid” function in Price Grid has been enhanced to give the user more options. The user can now choose whether to: not include multiple edition artworks, to include only the main proof of multiple edition artworks, or whether to include all proofs of multiple edition artworks.
2. The Compact and Backup Utility has been enhanced. The “Retain File as Backup” option, which had become redundant, has been removed. Additional messaging has been added to clarify best practices when compacting. An error that might cause application file corruption has been fixed.
3. In Artwork, it is now possible for editions/prints of the same multiple edition artwork record to have different substrates. Thus, the user can create an Artwork record in which some edition #’s of the image are on one material (substrate) and other editions #’s are on a different substrate. There is a “Display Medium and/or Substrate in Artwork Line” field where the user can specify what information will appear in the artwork line. Data in these fields can also be modified in Editions Detail and Editions Update Detail. Substrate is not a required field. You can still use, for example “Oil on Canvas” in the medium field, or you can put “Oil” in Medium and “Canvas” in Substrate.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have multiple values for a particular Medium, such as "Oil on Canvas", "Oil on Panel", "Oil on Paper", etc, changing all entries to "Oil" with a substrate value of "Canvas", "Panel", "Paper" will in effect combine any price grids you have created for these mediums into one: "Oil". This will reduce redundancy if all these particular price grids are the same. However, if the price grid values are not the same, then you should leave the Mediums in their original format.
4. New edition related fields have been added to Artwork and Edition records: Substrate, Edition Coating, Edition Ink, the Signed Description, Publisher and Copyright Holder are now included in the Artwork form, the New Artwork form, and the Artwork Editions form.
5. A new “Certificate of Authenticity Limited Edition” Artwork Report has been created to fully display the new edition related fields.
6. The “Studio Sheet” Artwork report now includes new substrate and edition fields.
7. An error was discovered in Artwork reports. Users were unable to always properly access all reports. This has been fixed.
8. Some Artwork and Mail List reports have been renamed to reflect that they show the Total Retail price or Total Wholesale price rather than Retail price or Wholesale price.
9. Minor errors in Patron standard filter and advanced filter have been fixed.
10. A field for email addresses has been added in Patron – All Contacts. This will make it easier to delete “bad” email addresses. A user requested this enhancement.
11. When selecting artwork in Invoices, the user will no longer be asked to specify, “which proof” for single proof artworks.
12. In Invoices, Additional Costs in the Price Detail box were omitted from invoice totals. This has been fixed.
13. In the Invoice report “Items Sent”: the date that a single edition artwork was sold, was left blank. This has been fixed.
14. New Supplies were not properly displayed in Supplies on Hand. This has been fixed.
15. New Vendors were not properly displayed in Order Supplies. This has been fixed.
16. In Mail List: patrons who were unselected continued to appear in reports. This has been fixed.
17. In Price Lists, there was an error in the Copy Price List function. This has been fixed.
18. Material Awards were incorrectly displayed in some Show Entry reports. This has been fixed.
19. There was an error in the “Start #’s” section of Artist Info/Options. The numbers for Purchase Order and Consignments were not being properly handled. This has been fixed.
20. In the New Record forms, such as: New Artwork and New Patron, required fields are now marked with asterisks. This was requested by a user.

WorkingArtist 3.05.04a Fixes and Enhancements
1.We've changed the single Select Work Combo to two--Select Title and Select Work#. This was done because some people like to select by Title and others by Work Num. We have also enhanced the filters of the artwork forms. In Artwork View, for example, the proof/editions are now also filtered. In Artwork List and Artwork Datasheet, when the Display option is "Artwork", if the #1 Proof/Edition is not included in the filtered work, the next Proof/Edition that is included will be displayed. We've also increased the length of the filter fields so that longer filters can be created in the Adv Filter function.
2.We've added new reports in the Media function and now allow more Patron reports to be filtered.
3.A problem that was occuring with the Visuals function when there were many artwork records has been fixed.
4.We fixed a bug that we introduced into the Patron Filters function in the last update and we've fixed a few other more obscure bugs.
5.There was a problem with the Compact and Backup Utility that has been fixed and we recreated the pdf file of the User's Guide.

WorkingArtist 3.05.03a/3.05.03b/3.05.03c Fixes and Enhancements
1. In Artwork View, an “Additional Images” button has been added. This allows the user to associate additional images to an artwork record. This was requested by a sculptor who wished to display images of side and rear views in her artwork records. Additional image frames can also be used to show detail or framed artwork.
2. An additional report: “Artwork Slide Sheet Additional Images” has been added to Artwork Reports.
3. New options have been included in the HTML function. You can now select an option that will copy your images from their location on your hard drive to the folder in which you save your HTML document for easy upload to your website. When creating an HTML document, you can now designate a subfolder to hold the images. You can also select a "Location" option that is specifically designed for sending html and image files as an attachment to an email, to zip or send on CD.
4. A new Patron report, “Patron Purchases by date” has been added.
5. The SortBy function on Artwork and Select Artwork forms has been enhanced so that the Select Work combo box is sorted in the same order as the form sort and you can select work by either Title or WorkNum depending on the sort you have selected. When you change the sort on the Artwork View form, it will change it in all Select Artwork forms.
6. An erroneous “Invalid Use of Null” message was being generated when artwork records were being imported from a text file. This error occurred when dimensions were added to a new medium. This is now fixed.
7. In Slide Show, an error message was being generated when filtering to Show All. This is now fixed.
8. In Calendar, an error was occurring in the New Reminder dialog box if double quotes were used in the “Do What” box. Editing has been added to convert double quotes into single quotes.
9. In Calendar, the Clear button in the New Reminders dialog box was not functioning correctly. This is now fixed.
10. In Calendar, Reminders were intermittently not displaying correctly. This is now fixed.
11. An error was occurring in the report displayed when taking the option to Delete Artwork. This is now fixed.
12. In View Artwork, the ‘Sort By’ field has been removed from Apply Standard Filter because it was redundant.
13. In Artwork Slide Reports, an incorrect image was intermittently displaying. This is now fixed.
14. In Consignment, the option Preview work sent was generating an error message. This is now fixed.

WorkingArtist 3.05.01a Fixes and Enhancements
1. An option has been added that allows user to include or exclude "Year" in the Artwork Line in forms and/or reports. Click on Artist Info/Options and then click on the Artwork tab. Select preference in the "Include Year in artwork line on Forms and Reports" combo-box.
2. An option has been added that allows user to print artist name on Certificates of Authenticity. Click on Artist Info/Options, Artist Info tab. Check the "Print Artist's Name on Certificate of Authenticity rather than 'Signed'" checkbox to print artist name.
3. A problem with the Alt Filters for Image Display was causing custom letterhead logos not to display. This has been fixed.
4. A new report, Slide Sheet 9 with Wholesale Prices, has been added in Artwork Reports.
5. There was a problem in the Mail Lists Report: Comma Delimited Text File By Name was not displaying in the correct sort order. This has been fixed.
6. An error was occurring in the Visuals function when the path names to the image files were very long. This has been fixed.

WorkingArtist 3.04.09b Fixes and Enhancements
1. Field length of Medium in the Artwork reports was incorrect. This has been fixed.
2. Error was occuring after using the Compact and Backup utility in the 3.04.08 versions. This has been fixed.

WorkingArtist 3.04.08c Fixes and Enhancements
1. An "Email" parameter has been added to the Adv Filter for Patrons. If you want to filter for patrons who have an email address, use "Email Is Not Null". For patrons who do not have an email address, use "Email Is Null."
2. Patron forms had some display errors after applying filter. This was introduced in the 3.04.08a version and has been fixed.

WorkingArtist 3.04.08a Fixes and Enhancements
1. A "Visuals" function has been added to the Artwork and Select Artwork forms. Click on the Visuals button.
2. Artwork filters have been expanded so that you can create and use the filters all all artwork select forms as wells as artwork forms.
3. You can now create basic HTML including references to your image files for either local or website documents. This function was created because it is not possible to export the Slide Sheet Report, because only the path to the image is stored in the database, not the image itself.
4. Sorting by column headings has been added to the Artwork Select forms.
5. Right click function has been added to sort records by Title or Work Num in the select from List Combo Box in the Edit Invoice form.
6. New "Slide Sheet Single Portfolio" report was created based on specific user request.
7. Some large values were truncating on some reports. These have been fixed.
8. There was a discrepancy in field size for Artwork Size in the Import from Text function that was causing truncation of values. This has been fixed.
9. There was an error when enter a new Size into the Import Artwork Errors form. This has been fixed.
10. When attempting to delete a detail record in Registry Tasks/Work, the delete was not occuring if the Location was changed. This has been fixed.
11. All labels were printing in the Slide Labels & Reports/35 MM Slide Labels even if the Display tag was unchecked. This has been fixed.
12. Milestone status was not displaying on the Project Detail report. This has been fixed.
13. When entering new Patron data, there was an error in some fields if the number of characters exceed the number allowed for the field. This has been fixed with an appropriate message.
14. In Artwork reports, if the "Hide Decimals" option is selected, some reports were displaying decimals in the totals. This has been fixed.
15. Alt Size and Add On variables not working in the Advanced Filter. This as been fixed.

WorkingArtist 3.04.04b Fixes and Enhancements
1. A severe error occured when the user accessed the artwork report "Artwork Datasheet". This has been fixed.
2. An error occured when the user added Patrons to mail lists by selecting from an advanced filter. This has been fixed.

WorkingArtist 3.04.04a Fixes and Enhancements
1. Options to create a default Consignment note and a default Purchase Order note have been added.
2. A response field has been added to Mail List Patrons which allows you to record patron response.
3. A new report: "Mail List Patrons w/Response", has been added to Mail List reports. This report will help you review Mail Lists for Patron responses.
4. A Response tag and Note Field have been added in Patron's Activity, Patron's Activity Edit, Registry Tasks - Activity, Show Tasks - Activity, Invoice Tasks - Activity, and Project Tasks - Activity.

WorkingArtist 3.04.02a Fixes and Enhancements
1. A new report: “Patrons by Number of Artwork Purchased” has been added to Patron Reports. This report allows artists to sort their patrons by the number of artwork pieces that they have purchased.
2. We have added Certificate of Authenticity reports without borders for users with their own pre-printed certificate paper.
3. In some instances, the sequence numbers for show labels would display incorrectly. This has been fixed.
4. In the Registries and Projects Tasks function for sending new items, the All Tags button was not working. This has been fixed.
5. Increased the number of decimals on tax to five per user request.

During 2003 we made numerous enhancements
1. Complete overhaul of the help notes and the electronic version of the manual.
2. Complete overhaul of Reports. Special attention was paid to formatting and display issues. Some reports were renamed for greater clarity.
3. We added many new reports, such as: "New Patron Sheet" which generates a paper version of the the New Patron screen. This makes it easy to write down information about a new patron so that someone else can enter the information. We also added the "New Artwork Sheet" which generates a paper version of the the New Artwork screen. This makes it easy to write down information about new artwork so that someone else can enter the information
4. We carried out extensive testing in all modules, with special emphasis on Patrons, Artwork, Invoices, Consignments, Projects, Shows, and Letters. Attention was paid to formatting and display issues, mathematical calculation and correct processing of information.
5. We added new location status options in Consignments, Shows, Projects and Registries.
6. We added enhanced header and footer options. These new options allow the user to create a header and/or footer with an image, with text and an image or with just text. The user can put the header and or footer in many forms, documents and letters that will be used with patrons.
7. We added an enhancement that allows the calendar to display information in a manner more suitable for public display and marketing.

WorkingArtist 3.03.02a Fixes and Enhancements
1. Invoice Estimate Deposit and Date not displaying on Estimate report under certain circumstances. This has been fixed.
2. Activity reports displaying duplicate records. This has been fixed.
3. Activity reports sometimes not displaying detail. This has been fixed.
4. Double-quotes in Price List Heading causes error. This has been fixed.
5. Consignment memo not including add-on prices in quotes in report. This has been fixed.

1. When attempting to create a Quick Invoice for multi-edition work, you get a blank screen. This has been fixed.
2. When using the All Tags button on the Change Artwork Location/Category dialog, there is the possibility of change all locations/categories for all artwork rather than the displayed artwork. This has been fixed.
3. After adding price detail information on an invoice return, there is an "invalid use of null" error message. This has been fixed.
4. Date not printing on Select Project Detail report. This has been fixed.
5. In Artwork List form, there is sometimes an error that says "You can't hide a control that has the focus". This has been fixed.
6. When going to Show Labels function from the Show Entries form, all artwork displaying rather than show artwork. This has been fixed.
7. There is a Syntax Error when attempting to run the Show Labels and Reports function from Consignments. This has been fixed.
8 There are some discrepancies in the labels on the Artwork List form when filtering for editions vs. artwork only. This has been fixed.

WorkingArtist 3.02.12a Fixes and Enhancements

1. Added alternate image display function for users who do not install Microsoft Office and the Microsoft Graphics Filters. This image display function is only valid for "jpg", "gif", and "bmp" image files.
2. Added Custom Slide Label report that has two fields for top and bottom of slide. Allows text to wrap. This allows for long titles that would otherwise be cut off.

8. In the Letterhead function, if you attempt to "Insert Artist Info" and your State value is greater than 2 characters, there is an error. This has been fixed.
9. If you edit a state name in the States table, it will not display in Artist Info or Letterhead as corrected unless you re-select it from the List. This has been fixed.
10. Tax Freight Tag added to invoice function. Some states require that you apply tax to freight charges. You can now choose to apply tax to freight or not. Set your default in Artist Info/Invoices tab.
11. Show History form reporting all artwork entered, not just accepted work.

WorkingArtist 3.02.08a Fixes and Enhancements

1. New Letters do not contain default font and font size. This has been fixed, however, the third party control that is use for the text editor may interpret the font size in a slightly different way than normal. Depending on the font chosen, an 11 pt size may be interpreted as 11.5, for example. This is a problem with the editor and is not in our control.

2. Alpha num in Price List report is truncated when sorting by Work Num. This has been fixed. Also, we added a "WorkNumWidth" adjustment number so that in Price Lists sorted by WorkNum, you can adjust the width of the column for the Work Number.

3. When running a price list report from the Price Lists Sent form, not all changed settings were being saved. This has been fixed.

3. No easy way to "Return" consignment artwork in batch. Added enhancement. When you click on "Return" option in Artwork list in Consignments, Registries, Activity Edit, etc, a message box will ask if you want to return more than one artwork. List will display so that you can return multiple items and change their location/category in batch.

4. If the data in the letterhead address fields is too long, you will get an error message. Fields have been lengthened and checking as been implemented.

5. Comma-delimited text file report in Mail List gives an error. This has been fixed.

6. Field "Dear" added to CVS and Tab-delimited Text file in Mail Lists.

7. Consignment Memo Retail report gives a parameter error. This has been fixed.

8. Selection of work for an award from the Show Entries form does not work. This has been fixed.

1. An error occurred in Import from Text function if the State field did not exist in the States table. This has been fixed.

2. If you switched to a backup data file from Main Switchboard/Switch to Backup, then closed WA, when you reopened, WA would think that the backup file was the current file. We added a message box in the Switch to Current Data File function that will ask you if the data file that is currently attached is the current file. If it's not, then you can locate the current data file through a Browse dialog.

3. If you switch to a backup data file from the Main Switchboard, or back to the current file without closing WA in between, the information in the Artist Info form might not be requeried. This has been fixed.

4. When you click on Email button on Edit Letters form, email address is not automatically inserted into new email message. This has been fixed.

WorkingArtist 3.02.03c Fixes and Enhancements

1. Several fields in Price Lists Frames dialog give error when double-clicked. This has been fixed.

2. Added enhancement to letter reports so that the data source for the rich text memo field is reestablished each time the report is opened. It was possible to lose the data source if the margins were changed in print setup.

3. When creating labels from the Registry Report function, the sequence numbers could be lost. This has been fixed.

4. When creating slide labels from Mail List form, the prices quotes were zero and individual labels could not be deleted. This has been fixed.

5. Under certain circumstances, an error could occur when selecting a "Selected Invoice Activity" report in the Invoices function. This has been fixed.

6. Gross Sales report in Invoices function was displaying all records rather than selected date range records. This has been fixed.

9. Fixed a problem when opening Statements from the Invoice List form. When you close the Statements form, the screen is blank. This has been fixed.

7. Because of the way records were imported from WA 1.01, it was possible that not all of the Media Sent activity records would display. This has been fixed.

8. Added SortBy and Sequence fields in the Edit Media form so that media records can be sorted either by Title or Seq No. (User Request)

9. Under some circumstances, an error occurred in the New Artwork Location dialog. This has been fixed.

10. When adding new editions through the Show Entries or Invoices select forms, there was an error. This has been fixed.

12. Slide Sheet Report Single Image: the ret/whl price choice not always working the right way. This has been fixed.

14. Added a 2 x 3.5 label choice to Custom Show Labels. You may need to adjust the template to fit into this smaller space, or use a template that is left justified. (User Request)

16. There was a problem with deleting patrons in the Patrons form. This has been fixed.

WorkingArtist 2.01.04a Fixes and Enhancements

In one of the artwork list reports, the record number is printing at the end of the line rather than the wholesale number. This has been fixed.

After creating a new patron, a message box asks if you want to create another one. If you select "yes", an error message displays. This has been fixed.

The Location combo box in the Artwork Editions List gives an error message if you try to add a new location. This has been fixed.

The Category combo box in the Artwork Editions List does not allow you to enter a new value. This has been fixed.

WorkingArtist 2.01.02c Fixes and Enhancements

In this version we went through the patron filtering functions and fixed a few areas that were not working correctly.

We created a work-around for an installation problem caused by the Win9X operating system not properly reading the command line that opens WorkingArtist 2.0 from the shortcut icon. This problem may be caused by the Pretty Worm virus. Our software does not transfer this virus. It is propagated by email. Go to Known Bugs for more information about how to deal with this virus.

WorkingArtist 2.01.02b Fixes and Enhancements

In this version we went through the artwork filtering functions and fixed a few areas that were not working correctly.

WorkingArtist 2.01.01b Fixes and Enhancements

In the previous version processing was made more consistent between certain Supply and Order forms. In doing so, I introduced a bug into the Order Supplies form that occurs when you select an item to add to the Order. This has been fixed.

The Edition Sales report in Invoices was not reporting accurately. This has been fixed.

If you opened the Prices form from the Main Switchboard when you had no price grids, and then closed the Prices form, an error would occur. This has been fixed.

WorkingArtist 2.01.01a Fixes and Enhancements

In the Artist Info form, you can select options to show or hide Work Num and Subject in the artwork line in Forms and/or Reports. This was not always working as expected. This has been fixed.

Supplies forms have been enhanced so there is only one button to add items to the list for all choices, i.e., from Supply List and from Other.

WorkingArtist 2.01.00d Fixes and Enhancements

1. Supplies function has been reworked to include a Discontinued field on the Vendor Supply List and a Not Used field on the Supplies on Hand list. (User Request)

2. Supply items could be deleted even if they were used as costs for artwork, projects or invoice items. This could cause an error if you attempted to delete the cost and add the supply item back into inventory. This has been fixed.

3. When filtering for All or Current on the Show Entries form, the Select Show Combo box was not sorting properly. This has been fixed.

4. When entering a 2nd address line in the New Patron form, the 1st address line was being overwritten by the 2nd address line. This has been fixed.

5. When selecting artwork reports that filtered for the artwork user defined fields, an error was occuring. This has been fixed.

1. Problem with the Edit Invoice enhancement introduced in WA 2.01.00a is fixed.

2. If screen resolution is 640 x 480, some forms may be distorted or may not show all elements on the form. This has been generally fixed. Please report any instances of form display problems that you find.

1. In the Edit Invoices form you can now select work from a specific show or consignment as well as from the artwork list. If you have adjusted price quotes for the show or consignment, these prices will be inserted into the Invoice detail. (User Request)

2. When in a form that displays the artwork description, you can double-click the field to display a short version of the Edit Artwork form. (User Request)

3. A button has been added to the Slide Show form/Edit tab to allow display of only records that have an image associated with them.

WorkingArtist 2.00.99c/d Fixes and Enhancements

1. A Base Price field has been added to the Price Grid function. You can now set a base price for any specific price grid. This allows you to create a pricing scheme with more flexibility. It allows you to adjust the divergence between lower and higher prices. (User Request)

WorkingArtist 2.00.97n Fixes and Enhancements

1. This version continues to refine the Import from Text function. Notes were not being imported with artwork. This has been fixed. The "Fix Errors" form has been changed so you do not have to scroll right to see all the data.

2. Slide Sheet reports have been added to the Artwork and Custom Slide Labels function. (User Request)

3. A Consignment by Patron report has been added to the Consignments function. (User Request)

4. Problem with selecting artwork in the Awards function has been fixed.

5. The ability to include double-quotes and semi-colons in certain fields has been restricted since these characters can potentially cause errors in some situations. This problem has never been reported, but we decided to eliminate the potential.

WorkingArtist 2.00.97d Fixes

1. Some problems in the Import from Text function related to field sizes have been fixed. Field size for the import file path is now 150 characters. Discrepancy related to field sizes of Group, Source and Origin default fields has been fixed. Field size for default Dear field now has a warning if more than 30 characters are entered.

2. Default Source, Origin and Group combo boxes on the Patrons tab of the Import form were not allowing new values. This has been fixed.

3. When importing patrons with more than one phone number, a parameter error was occuring after importing the record which made it appear that the record was not imported. This has been fixed.

4. When importing a patron with no contact (First or Last Name) and with more than one phone number, there was a duplicate record error when creating the phone records. This has been fixed.

WorkingArtist 2.00.97b Enhancements

1. Added Status column to list of artwork in Registry Tasks and Registry All Images. Will also display in other activity forms where slides/work are displayed. (User request)

2. Added a function to the Maintenance form so that if you use your Work Number as the name of the corresponding image file, you can do a batch link. 3. Added a warning message to the Show Entry select form. If the work you are selecting is scheduled for another show with corresponding dates, then you will receive the warning. This does not take into account the amount of time you may need for shipping your work and it does not take into account conflicts that may occur if you change the beginning and ending dates of a show after you have selected the work for that show and other shows.
