adding new painting size

Hi Colin, Kathryn,

An error I have experienced in the last 4 months: When I imput a newly completed painting with a new painting size, the screen allows me to put in the new size. It tells me the painting size I have just added is not in the list and do I wish to add it,... yes.... and then I complete all remaining sections to the bottom of the screen.

When I try to save, it tells me the painting size I have just added is not in the list and do I wish to add it (these messages also appeared up above when I typed in the new size. (The screen has also eliminated the pricing sections I have just completed). So when I go back and add the new size again , the second time it accepts the new size and I have to reinput the pricing.

Is this a glitch in the program. I just updated my version and have not tried to input a new painting since the update.
Shirley

Hi Shirley,

Thanks for reporting this. I am out of town on a painting trip. Can you try entering a new artwork with the updated version and let me know if the problem still exists? If so, I'll fix it as soon as I get back.

Thanks,
Kathryn

Yes Kathryn,I am getting the same result.

I tried inputting a fictious size (36 x 37) for a new painting which is in actuality 36 x 36 in.

I put in the size, responded yes to the message "this size is not in the list . do you wish to add it" and proceeded to fill in on down the screen.

After inputting prices and image link, I clicked save

Got message "select a valid size"

Went back up to size column, checked to see my size 36 x 37 was indeed in the drop down menu,it was, clicked on it (rather than writing it in again) and got the same result when I reached the bottom of the screen and save

Third time I tried the same procedure, clicked on the size in the drop dowm menu and this time, it worked. I subsequently erased the size 36 x 37 in

Enjoy your painting trip. Hi hi to Colin for me.
Regards
Shirley

Hi Shirley,

Yes, there is a bug in that function and I will get it fixed as soon as possible. In the meantime, I think if you go into Artist Info/Tables/Artwork Size, and add all sizes that you think you will be using to the table, this problem in New Artwork can be avoided until we get the bug fixed.

Thanks for letting me know about this. We very much appreciate getting this type of feedback from our customers!

Best regards,
Kathryn
