Good Day,
A WorkingArtist user recently sent us a request for information about sharing the information in WorkingArtist between two users, both with the WorkingArtist software. This user was also making use of Excel to collect contact information and was considering whether to use Excel and then import into WorkingArtist, or use WorkingArtist directly. We thought that we would share the response information with our Forum users as well.
There are ways to share the WorkingArtist database between multiple users. I would suggest that you review the information in Knowledgebase articles Q1022 and Q1025, which covers topics related to sharing the database information amongst multiple users. If you haven’t already put a lot of data into Excel, then my suggestion would be to put the data directly into WorkingArtist and avoid having to migrate the data from Excel; it’s an extra step that you can avoid unless it’s absolutely necessary for you to do it that way. If you already have data in Excel, I’d import that, and then use WorkingArtist directly going forward. Of course, every situation is unique and you’ll have to decide what works best for you.
