Installing to different drive?

Hello - I'm doing the trial!

Am on Vista 32; working fine but is there a way to change the drive letter to install to?

I have my drive partitioned so the C: drive has less space, and would prefer to install to my E: drive.

Thank you!

Hi,

Yes, you can select the drive you'd like to use during the installation. One of the final screens before the install actually runs will list the location that WorkingArtist will install into, and has a "browse" button next to it. By using the browse button, you can select a different location for the installation.

Thanks and have a good day.

on a similar note....can the program be run from a portable hard drive? I would love to be able to have it with me to work on it at work (where ms office is installed, but not working artist)

Hi,

That is not something that we have tested, so honestly, I'm not sure if it would work or not. However, one thing to consider, if it's allowed by your place of work, would be to install WA on your work PC, and simply carry your data file with you on a flash drive. Our Knowledgebase Article Q1025 explains how to share the WorkingArtist data file between 2 non-networked PCs.

Have a good day.

Ron
